A tangy and savory Delmarva BBQ chicken recipe inspired by Eastern Shore traditions. Perfectly grilled or broiled for juicy, flavorful results.
Ingredients

- 1 whole chicken (split or preferred cuts)
- Β½ cup vegetable oil
- Β½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- Dash of Tabasco sauce
- Dash of paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, beaten egg, poultry seasoning, Tabasco, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
- Preheat the grill or broiler to medium heat.
- Grill or broil the chicken, flipping and basting every 10 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165Β°F.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For a milder marinade, reduce the vinegar slightly and add honey.
- If using wings or smaller cuts, reduce cooking time to 30β40 minutes.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or repurposed for sandwiches.
