  • Yield: 4 burgers 1x

Description

The Juicy Bison Burger Recipe offers a leaner, healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers without sacrificing flavor. Perfect for a flavorful and guilt-free meal, these bison burgers are a delicious twist on your regular burger night! 🍔✨

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground bison
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp burger sauce (or mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard combination)

Instructions

Prepare the Bison Patties 🍖

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground bison, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Mix until all ingredients are well combined, but avoid overmixing to keep the meat tender.

  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

Cook the Patties 🍳

  1. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and add olive oil.

  2. Once hot, add the bison patties. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, or adjust the time based on your preferred level of doneness.

  3. During the last minute of cooking, add cheddar cheese slices to each patty, if using, and allow it to melt.

Assemble the Burgers 🍔

  1. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

  2. On the bottom half of each bun, add a leaf of romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato.

  3. Place the cooked bison patty on top, followed by red onion slices.

  4. Spread burger sauce on the top half of the bun, then place it over the patty.

Serve & Enjoy! 🥳

  1. Serve your bison burgers immediately with your favorite sides, such as sweet potato fries, coleslaw, or a fresh green salad.
