Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup Unsalted butter
  • ½ cup Dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ cup Semisweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Add sugars to melted butter, stir until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips if using. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
