Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Cheesecake Layer

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup sour cream

Optional Ganache

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Mix melted butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Pour into pan and bake 20-25 mins. Cool.
  • Beat cream cheese and sugar, add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Pour over brownie base.
  • Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 mins. Cool, then chill 4+ hours. Make ganache: heat cream, pour over chocolate, stir. Drizzle before serving.

Notes

Ensure cheesecake is fully cooled before chilling to prevent cracks.
