Creamy Garlic Mushrooms

Ingredients
  

Butter and Oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Mushrooms and Garlic

  • 8 ounces white mushrooms whole or sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Creamy Sauce

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add the mushrooms and garlic and cook until the mushrooms are soft and tender, about 3–5 minutes.
  • Add the heavy cream, grated parmesan, cream cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and bubbling.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately. Top with fresh chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
