Delicious Peach Pie

Ingredients
  

Pie Crust

  • 2 packages Pie Crust store-bought or homemade
  • 4 cans Sliced Peaches 15 oz, drained
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Pie Crust: Roll out one pie crust and place it in a pie dish. Preheat oven to 375-400°F (190-200°C).
  • Create the Peach Filling: Drain peaches and mix with sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice (if using). Let sit for 15 minutes.
  • Assemble the Pie: Pour filling into crust. Roll out second crust, place on top, and crimp edges. Cut slits for steam.
  • Bake the Pie: Bake at 375-400°F (190-200°C) for 45-50 minutes, until golden and bubbling. Cover edges if browning too quickly.
  • Cool and Serve: Let cool on a wire rack for 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a golden crust, brush with egg wash before baking. Serve with vanilla ice cream for extra delight!
