Instructions
Activate yeast in warm water with sugar, then mix dough ingredients. Let dough rise for 20 minutes.
Prepare baking soda bath in a large pot and bring to a boil.
Shape dough into ropes and cut into 1-inch pieces. Boil pretzel bites in baking soda bath for 30 seconds per side.
Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with salt, and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For an extra crispy exterior, ensure the baking soda bath is at a rolling boil before adding pretzel bites. Don't overcrowd the pot for even cooking.
