Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare baking pan.
Whisk buttermilk and egg. Mix dry ingredients, cut in butter.
Combine wet and dry, shape into a loaf, score with 'X'.
Bake 45-55 minutes until golden. Cool before slicing.
Notes
Freezes beautifully! Serve with stew or jam.
