Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 lb Italian sausage

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • cup grated or shredded parmesan
  • 1 cup shredded zucchini (about 1 cup)
  • 1 egg egg
  • 2 tsp dried minced onion
  • 2 tsp dried minced garlic
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 oz shredded cheese (mozzarella and provolone blend)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Mix all meatball ingredients and form about 24 meatballs. Place in dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes. Drain excess liquid.
  • Top with marinara and cheese. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Optional: broil for 3-4 minutes to toast cheese. Watch carefully.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure meatballs are cooked through.
