Ingredients
  

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional) optional
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 ¼ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips (semi sweet)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9"x13" pan. Line bottom with parchment paper if desired.
  • Beat eggs with cocoa, salt, baking powder, espresso powder, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Melt butter and mix with sugar. Combine with egg mixture, ensuring butter isn't too hot.
  • Add flour and chocolate chips, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Spread batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes. Test for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

For the best results, let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting.
